Hockey Game

Last Saturday we took a trip all the way out to Kansas City to watch a hockey game. On the way we stopped at Cabellas.

There were all kinds of wild animals and other things there like guns and flashlights and mongooses and couches and stuffed dinosaurs and some fish and some water buffaloes (well all except the dinosaurs).

Then we went and had a splendid meal at Chicago Uno with a really nice waitress...err...waiter...

Anyway.

Finally, we reached our destination and watched an awesome hockey game.

All in all, it was lots of fun...if you count out the deafening ride back in the bus!! It was pretty funny...everyone was going nuts. The boarders/canadians in the front were singing their own songs, while the college guys in the back were doin their own thing. The Canadians started up their national anthem and then the college guys drowned them out with ours. Let me tell you, it got pretty loud.

hair of the dog

I figured I might share some of my musical interests...I found this awesome newer Irish band over the summer and theyre awesome. Theyre called Hair of the Dog, and actually they are right over near Albany, only about 2 hours or so away from my house near Syracuse. They sing mostly Irish stuff - its got a kick to it and its pretty lively.

Heres a link to one of their songs for your listening enjoyment - MTA

La Salette

I just thought I'd mention that on my way out here to St. Mary's we dropped my brothers off at La Salette de Notre Dame, the new boys academy in IL. It was an awesome place...lots of land, great facilities, the works. I took some pictures while I was there - you can see them here.

Life goes on

Well, its been 2 weeks already since schools started...well really only 1, since the first was a week of recollection (that we all seemed to *cough*sleep*cough* through!)

Anyway, lots of things have been going on, including a few nights of volleyball, (pictures here) some wicked good pizza and a foosball tournament at the Zapps (pictures).

And of course with school its business as usual, the homework is starting to roll in and pile up!
