Jeffrey Energy Center

Recently, I went on a tour of Jeffrey Energy Center with a few other College and Academy students. It was a lot more interesting that I thought it would be. Even though we didnt get to climb the stacks, which were about 600 feet high, we got to see a lot of other things...we got to look right into the boiler, where it gets about 3000 degrees! It was pretty neat, because you could see a stream of crushed up coal getting shot right into the flames...they go through 3 million pounds of coal PER HOUR!! Thats a lot of coal!
